My story
My name is Hannah, I am a floral designer offering bespoke workshops, events and sympathy flowers.
For the past six years I have been flower arranging for a private house where I work as a RHS qualified gardener. This is where my passion for floral arrangements began.
To turn my passion into a business, I attended a professional sustainable floristry course at the Bath Flower School where I learnt all the skills needed to become a professional florist.
Attending this course gave me the confidence and skills needed to start my own sustainable floral design business.
How it all started
Six years ago, I realised I wasn't happy and gave up my job in London to study interior design.
Alongside my studies, I worked part-time as a gardener on a private estate in Somerset. I am still gardening now, and no, I am not an interior designer.
It turns out that whilst I enjoy interiors and love being creative, I actually prefer working outside and getting my hands dirty. I discovered that my real passion is flowers. I was very lucky that I was able to use the beautiful flowers which we had grown in the walled garden to create floral arrangements for the house.
This is where it all started, I was able to be creative and work with nature. Last year, I completed my RHS level 2 and although I love gardening, and still garden, my real passion is arranging beautiful British blooms.
The team
As this is a new venture, it's just me, myself and I at the moment.
Oh, and how could I forget my furry assistant, Nelson, who fortunately I don't need to pay.
He only requires treats, walks and cuddles!
